Skull Wines is renowned for its dedication to crafting terroir-driven, organically farmed wines from family-owned vineyards in California. Their winemaking philosophy focuses on natural processes, aiming to capture the essence of old California with wines that are moderate in alcohol and high in acidity, offering a fresh and vibrant tasting experience.
Composition: This unique red blend is crafted from three varietals, meticulously hand-harvested from three distinct vineyards across California.
Winemaking: The grapes undergo carbonic maceration for 6-10 days in stainless steel, followed by fermentation with natural yeast in a mix of concrete and stainless steel for 8-12 days. Each varietal is fermented separately to preserve its unique characteristics.
Aging: The wine is aged for 10 months in neutral oak barrels to enhance its natural fruit flavors while maintaining a balanced acidity.
