The winery's red wine calling card, it is a remarkable achievement for quality at this price. I have not tasted this vintage but I did have the 2018 a few years ago and it was fantastic.
Varietal: 100% Montepulciano

2020 score, the 2021 is not yet rated:
91 Vinous
The 2020 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is remarkably fresh (the word ‘invigorating’ comes to mind), as mint and smoke give way to wild strawberries and hints of pine. It washes across the palate with ease, silky and suave; ripe red fruits settle in under an air of pretty inner florals. This finishes with tremendous length, yet only lightly structured, and leaves a saturation of violet-tinged wild berries in its wake. The 2020 communicates the elegance of the vintage beautifully and really tempts the imagination at what’s to come from the bigger wines. The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is refined for fifteen months in neutral French barriques.
