Castellaro Ypsilon Rosso is a unique red wine from Lipari, one of the Aeolian Islands off the coast of Sicily. The wine's name, "Ypsilon," alludes to the Y-shaped formation of the archipelago itself.  

Expect intense notes of dark berries, Mediterranean herbs, and black cherries. There's often a noticeable hint of volcanic minerality, sometimes described as warm basalt, along with black pepper, dried orange peel, and a fine smoky note. You'll find flavors of red fruits, spices, and a subtle spiciness. The balance between the spicy intensity of Nero d'Avola and the lively acidity of Corinto Nero creates a fresh and enveloping finish.
