Antica Fratta
Lombardy, Italy

This elegant sparkling wine has a subdued fragrance that reveals delicate floral and nut aromas. The palate is more expressive, offering citrus, tropical fruit and roasted almond flavors. The pleasant foamy texture is accompanied by lively acidity.
Blend: Chardonnay 90%, Pinot Noir 10%.

Winemaker Notes: Selection of fine grapes from highly suitable hilly plots located in different municipalities of Franciacorta. The soil type is calcareous-clayey. Details make the difference, and Antica Fratta's approach to detail is different. Packaging and coordinated image are cared for in a maniacal way, decidedly unusual in the world of wine. A limited production, as well as cured, entrusted to selected partners: this is our idea of exclusivity. We bring man and his professionalism back to the center of the world. We create a direct and close collaboration relationship between those who produce and sell Antica Fratta, so that the project is unitary and shared.
Color: Pale yellow with greenish highlights.
Bouquet: Rich and intense.
Palate: Full with a definite acid tinge.
Perlage: Fine and persistent.
Food pairing: Excellent as an aperitif but it can also be served throughout a meal. It is particularly suitable for delicate dishes of fish and white meat.
Serving temperature: 7° – 8° C (45°F).
Type of soil: Calcareous-clayey.
Yield per hectare: 100 quintals per hectare, with a yield maximum allowed in must of 65%.
Vintage: This is a product “no vintage”, which does not bear the year of production because it is obtained from the combination (assemblage) of wines from different years. However, the majority of this wine is from the 2019 vintage.
Dosage: Brut (4.5-5g/L)
Harvest
: Between mid-August and early September when the grapes have reached the correct sugar ripeness, but still have aconsiderable acidity and freshness
Maturation: Minimun 24 months of maturation on lees.

Dusty dried flowers mix with crushed rocks, lemon oil and opal apple as the NV Brut Cuvee Real blossoms in the glass. This is supple and round, quite elegant in feel, with a balanced inner sweetness offsetting hint of sour citrus; an almondy richness forms toward the close. Nuances of burnt sugar and brown spice linger, even as the Cuvee Real maintains a marvelous freshness. There's so much pleasure to be found here. Our tasting notes:
The is an elegant wine with notes of apple and citrus on the nose and palate. It has a round and dense mouthfeel given its 24 months on the lees. The bubbles are fine and persistent. It has great acidity. Drink now or in the next 4 years.
