Neighbor to “Combe DesRoches,” “La Bonnode” is a superb parcel of 2 hectares, facing east at the foot of the Roche de Vergisson. The vines are mostly bordered by old brush: a sheltered, isolated site that allows us to biodynamically cultivate the vines with ease. Working in this parcel, we can see across the Saône Valley all the way to the Mont Blanc in the distance to the east. - winery

  • Vine Age: Average of 35 years (as of 2018)
  • Terroir: At the base of the Roche de Vergisson, surrounded by brush forest, eastern exposition.
  • Viticulture: Organic (Ecocert), biodynamic (Demeter)
  • Vinification: Pressed with whole clusters, ambient yeast fermentation. Aged 11 months in 228L used oak barrels and another 6 months in tank. Bottled both as a classic cuvée with 40-50 mg/L added SO2 and as a "Zen" cuvée with only 10-20 mg/l added SO2.
