The 2022 Cornas Granit 30 was made from fully destemmed grapes. It exhales prominent black fruit aromatics paired with pencil shavings, iodine and an underlying rusticity. Medium- to full-bodied, structured and concentrated, there’s plenty of old-world savoriness in this classic 2022 Cornas. - By Nicolas Greinacher on October 2023

Coming from vines lower on the slope, closer to the village, and all destemmed, the 2022 Cornas Granit 30 reveals a vivid purple/plum hue to go with a beautiful bouquet of ripe red, blue, and black fruits that turn more peppery and floral with air. It's clearly the most forward and accessible of the trio here, but it's still classic Cornas and has good acidity, ripe, polished tannins, and a great finish.

dark red; the nose gives an air of blackberry lozenges, is ripe and rounded, comes with lurking sunshine, is very up front. The palate has a juicy debut, is very easy to like, squeezy-juicy, the tannins supple; it lengthens well, the finale round, lip smacking, the length neat – it can develop the length with time, as well. The tannins need a couple of years. From 2025. 2040-42 March 2023

Vineyard: Cuvée Granit 30 is made up of two east facing parcels of young vines planted by Paris on the lower slope of lieu-dit Les Mazards. Together the parcels make up 3 hectares of vines which vary in age and rise up to 300 meters of elevation.

Soil: Granite with a bit of clay, gravel, and limestone
Viticulture: Paris farms organically incorporating many biodynamic principles. All vineyard work and harvesting is does manually. In order to concentrate the vines growing power, Paris prunes to only four bunches of grapes per vine and removes many of the bunch's surrounding leafs to allow for protection again disease. The vines yield approximately 30 hectoliters per hectare.
