This mixes vividly ripe, citrus-laced orchard fruits with zesty acidity and hints of sour melon as it flows across the palate with silken textures. Notes of sweet spice linger above a salty concentration as the 2022 finishes with admirable length—lightly structure and remarkably fresh, with a mineral crunchiness. The 2022 Chardonnay Koosah Vineyard comes from vines planted in volcanic soils in 2016 at 720 to 1,080 feet of elevation. It was fermented and matured in 65% new, 350- and 500-liter barrels for 12 months and finished with three months in stainless steel. It is delicate and pure on the nose: fragrant pear, white pepper, apricot and allspice are laced with integrated matchstick character that allures rather than repels. The light-bodied palate offers deeply concentrated flavors, though it is still youthfully coiled. It has a taut spine of acidity and a long, perfumed finish. Give it 2–3 years in bottle or a few hours in a decanter. 225 cases were made. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2040

Tasting Note: Intense aromatics weave a layered floral tapestry of apple blossom, kaffir lime leaves, and honeysuckle. As the palate unfolds, crunchy white nectarine and oyster shells are revealed. The wine's crystalline acidity propels it down the palate like a lightning bolt, culminating in a seriously electrifying, white peach finish.
