dark red; the nose gives a comfy aroma of sweet, simmered blackberry, licorice attached, has a little grunty depth. The palate is on sleek fruiting, off the bat it goes, so does its Crozes job, carries neat tannins, is ensemble and gives spontaneous drinking. There’s a touch of late gummy tannin that can absorb over another six to nine months. It has genuine Chassis darkness, ends on black olives, late oak. “I like the fruit and texture,” Graeme Bott. 2030-31 Oct 2023
Our Tasting Note
Med+ ruby, lighter edges. Med+ nose, cracked peppercorns, fresh red cherry, red plum, spices of licoriuce and tobacco with violet florals. The palate is med bodied, medium, ripe and supple tannins, the flavor intensity is med+, fresh red to dark red fruits, spices and florals, with a good dose of the peppercorn spices. Med+ and pure on the finish.
