Verdigny is a Village located in the heart of the Sancerre appellation. Domaine Fournier Père et Fils is in Verdigny. The Grand Cuvee is made from the older vines, offering a more complex wine. It is a bigger style, elegant richer and rounder and at the same time more precise.

Winemaking is pretty simple, fermentations are at low temperatures in small tanks to favor all the different Village nuances. Aged on fine lees for 6-8 months in steel tank prior to bottling.

A medium+ nose of citrus, mineral, and flint, a round creaminess comes in too. The palate is med/med+ bodied, with richer notes citrus and green apple, with more heightened notes of crushed seashell and chalky minerality. A long, round and pleasing finish finish. - Our Note
